Re-COMMENCEMENT OF CERVICAL CHECK SCREENING in Sundrive Medical Centre
Cervical Check, The National Screening Programme will resume screening services from 6th July 2020.
The Services will start in a Phased Programme restarting with people who need an early test because they:
Then they will then send invitation letters for routine screening, beginning with people who have been waiting for the longest.
Please wait for your letter asking you to rebook your screening test
On receipt of the letter please ring the surgery for an appointment
If you are 25 to 30 years of age and having your first test
You may be 25 to 30 years of age and having a test for the first time. If you are, check the CervicalCheck register to make sure we have all the details we need to arrange your test.
Attending the Surgery for your Cervical Check Appointment

- are due an early repeat screening test - a one-year recall
- need a repeat test because their last sample could not be tested - a three-month recall
- have this year become eligible for their first cervical screening test

- THE APPOINTMENT IS FOR A CERVICAL SMEAR ONLY
- DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS THE APPOINTMENT TIME WILL BE APPROX 15 MINUTES LONG ONLY.
- IF YOU NEED TO DISCUSS ANOTHER MATTER OTHER THAN YOUR SMEAR TEST PLEASE MAKE A SEPARATE APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR GP.
